Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of ShareCode (sharecode.online). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

The service

ShareCode (sharecode.online) lets you share code with context — files, annotations, highlights and attachments — via links. Features and limits may differ by plan and can change over time.

The service is provided by Jakub Šaroun, business ID (IČO) 03858685, with place of business at Malý Šenov 6, 407 77 Velký Šenov, Czechia — the party you contract with under these Terms.

Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. Keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to upload, share or distribute:

• Malware, exploits intended to harm, or content designed to compromise systems.
• Other people’s secrets, credentials, API keys or access tokens.
• Illegal content, or content that infringes intellectual‑property, privacy or other rights.
• Harassing, hateful, or otherwise abusive content.
• Content that overloads, probes or attempts to disrupt the service or its security.

Your content

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a limited licence to host, store, process and display that content solely to operate the service (e.g. to render your shares to people you share them with). You are responsible for what you publish and for redacting sensitive data before sharing.

Intellectual property

The ShareCode software, brand and design are protected and remain ours or our licensors’. These Terms grant you no rights to them beyond using the service as intended.

Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Parts of the service may display third‑party advertising (e.g. Google AdSense); ads are served subject to your cookie consent and the providers’ own terms, and we are not responsible for the content of third‑party advertisements.

Availability and changes

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We may add, change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the service. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms or to protect the service or other users.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the competent Czech courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer‑protection rights.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms; we will revise the “last updated” date and, for material changes, notify you within the service. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
